Jurisdictional Issues: Want to provide clinical services to someone who is in sitting in some state where you are not licensed (including providing temporary services to a client who is away on vacation) using telephone, Skype, email, or other electronic medium? Then you need to know whether that that state has laws forbidding that.
Before providing services to a client in any state where you are not licensed, mental health professionals are advised to check the regulations of the licensing board of their profession in the state in which the client is located.
