The following information is appropriate for all events provided by The Center for Ethical Practice as requested by an agency or organization.
The Center for Ethical Practice provides continuing education (CE) courses at an “intermediate” level, appropriate for mental health service providers of all professions and at all levels of experience, including clinical students, as well as beginning, intermediate, and advanced clinicians. Participants will be able to ask questions and participate in the discussion throughout the training.
Our nationally accredited interactive workshops are developed and presented by Mary Alice Fisher, Ph.D., Director of the Center for Ethical Practice, and/or Rebecca Vauter, Psy.D., ABPP, Clinical Psychologist, Associate Director of the Center for Ethical Practice and/or other qualified clinicians affiliated with the Center for Ethical Practice. Our courses are relevant for mental health care providers of all professions, including psychologists, social workers, counselors, and marriage and family therapists.
NOTE: Interactive ZOOM Workshop Training requires electronic equipment capable of running the ZOOM application (ZOOM.US free download for Apple computers, iPhones, iPads, Windows computers, and all android devices). Also, in order to participate, reliable internet service must be available at your location.
To earn CE credits, requirements include active participation for the full duration of the training and completing the course evaluation form after the session. At the conclusion of the workshop, an electronic link to our course evaluation form will be emailed to each participant. For participants completing the online evaluation, a personalized CE Certificate is immediately released for download.
If you have questions or if you need disability accommodations, please contact the Center office by phone at 434-971-1841 or by email at Office@CenterForEthicalPractice.org. All sales are final. Grievance procedures for all courses are found here: workshop grievance procedures. Those licensed and practicing outside Virginia should confirm that our CE credits will be eligible for license renewal in their own jurisdictions.

Interactive workshops are designed for organized groups of participants. For example, in the past we have provided interactive workshops for:
• private group practices
• agencies
• groups of colleagues employed by the same type of agency (i.e., college counseling center clinicians)
• clinician colleagues (e.g., a peer consultation group)
• any mental health professionals who join together just for the purpose of the training
