Associate Director
Rebecca Vauter, Psy.D., ABPP is a clinical psychologist who is board-certified in forensic psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. Her private practice focuses on leadership consultation, program design, and forensic mental health evaluation/consultation.
Dr. Vauter’s previous service includes six years as Chief Executive Officer at Central State Hospital in Petersburg, VA, which houses Virginia’s only maximum security inpatient unit. She also previously served as Clinical Director at Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg, VA and in the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services as leader of the statewide forensic program. More recently, she served as Director of Behavioral Health for Daily Planet Health Services, a federally-qualified health center in Richmond, VA, and as Chief Behavioral Health Officer for Armor Health, based in Miami, FL.
Dr. Vauter is an experienced expert witness, researcher, and educator. She has taught at Virginia Commonwealth University, Eastern Virginia Medical School, and Virginia Union University, and has extensive experience supervising students and licensed clinicians. She is a former member of the Virginia Board of Psychology, and a current member of the Ethics Committee of the American Board of Professional Psychology.
