The Center for Ethical Practice provides continuing education (CE) training for mental health service providers of all professions on topics related to ethical and ethical/legal issues.
We are now scheduling some fall and winter ZOOM workshops (or other types of interactive “distance” workshops) for CE Credits. For the purpose of license renewal, these “electronic workshops” are now considered “in-person workshops,” because participants will be able to ask questions and participate in the discussion. Just like the Center’s “live” on-site workshops before COVID-19, these workshops are available for specially organized groups of participants.
Your group workshops can be scheduled by:
- a private group practice
- an employed group (i.e., college counseling center clinicians)
- as clinician colleagues (e.g., peer consultation groups)
- any mental health professionals who join together just for the purpose of the training
The main qualification will be a willingness to appoint a administrator for ZOOM (or for your own interactive distance platform) who will take responsibility for organizing the group, working with Dr. Fisher to select a training topic, and signing a Center contract on behalf of the group.
In the foreseeable future, we are not planning on being able to provide our popular hotel-based workshops until restrictions are lifted. ZOOM workshops for private individuals are not available at this time. We can provide tutorials for individuals, but not for CE credit. Individuals may also schedule private phone consultation, still at just $50 per half hour.
Please do contact us if you would like to discuss possible details of organizing a “distance” workshop for CE credits presented to your own group.
Recently, a popular topic has been “Practical Ethics: Recognizing the Ethical Dilemmas in Your Own Setting.” For other topic ideas, see a list of possible workshops on our Upcoming Workshops page.
